Burnout Support
Structured recovery for people who know precisely what is happening — and need the problem entered immediately.
Burnout in high performers rarely looks like collapse from the outside. It looks like the inbox becoming impossible, the bank login becoming impossible, and the body quietly refusing orders it used to follow.
By the time most clients arrive, they have already read about burnout, named it accurately, and tried to think their way out of it. Insight was never the missing ingredient. Burnout is a nervous-system state, and it responds to structure, pacing, and physiological work — not to more self-analysis.
Michel treats burnout as a clinical arc with a measurable direction: moving the nervous system from predominantly sympathetic to predominantly parasympathetic. That is not a metaphor. It shapes the pacing of sessions, what gets asked of you early, and how progress is judged.
Support runs through individual therapy or, for acute burnout, a structured 12-week program run with five to six clients at a time.

Support may include:
- Work strain
- Nervous-system depletion
- Recovery structure
- Sustainable pacing
What the work looks like
Early sessions deliberately lower the bar: a guaranteed early win, tasks scaled to what a depleted system can actually execute, and body-level work — sleep, nutrition, movement — treated as clinical levers rather than lifestyle footnotes.
As capacity returns, the work turns toward the conditions that produced the burnout, so recovery is not simply a reset before the next collapse.

Ask About FitQuestions clients ask about burnout support
How is burnout different from depression?
They overlap and can co-occur, but burnout is tied to sustained demand exceeding recovery — it tends to improve when load and nervous-system regulation change. Depression is broader and can persist independent of workload. The consultation is where the picture gets clarified, including whether both are in play.
What is the 12-week burnout recovery program?
A structured small-cohort program — five to six clients — with a measurable goal: shifting the nervous system from predominantly sympathetic to predominantly parasympathetic over twelve weeks. It costs $4,900, the same as the quarterly coaching retainer.
Can I do burnout work while still employed full-time?
Yes — most clients do. The work is built for people who cannot step away from their responsibilities, which is why early tasks are scaled to depleted capacity rather than aspirational plans.
Is burnout support available by telehealth?
Yes. California clients can meet in person in the San Diego County area or by secure video statewide. Georgia clients are seen exclusively via telehealth.
