Executive Therapy
For leaders and senior professionals carrying the room while disappearing from the center of their own story.
You are the person other people bring problems to. The place where you put yours has been quietly shrinking for years.
Michel works with executives, founders, engineers, physicians, and senior professionals — many of them neurodivergent, all of them carrying decision loads that leave little room for their own interior life. The presenting problem is often a specific rupture: a reorg that broke a working system, a promotion path that quietly closed, the pain of being the most competent person in the room and being managed like a liability for it.
This is licensed clinical therapy, not executive coaching with a therapeutic accent — though Michel also offers a distinct coaching track, and the consultation clarifies which door fits. Confidentiality, discretion, and scheduling that respects a demanding calendar are structural, not add-ons.
More than 80% of therapists in California are women. Michel is not one of them — a difference that matters to many male executives more than they expect. His caseload runs 50/50 male and female, including many senior women whose directness has been misread their entire careers as a personality flaw.

What the work looks like
The work is direct by design — a form of respect for your intelligence, not abrasion. Expect precision about what is actually breaking down: decision fatigue, sustained threat-state at work, the gap between public capability and private depletion.
Many executive clients eventually move from therapy to coaching as acute strain resolves and the question shifts from repair to design. That movement is the work succeeding.
Licensed in California and Georgia — in-person and virtual in California; telehealth only in Georgia. See San Diego County, California telehealth, and Georgia telehealth.
Ask About FitQuestions clients ask about executive therapy
How is executive therapy different from executive coaching?
Therapy operates in a licensed clinical framework and addresses what is actively impairing your professional or personal life — burnout, anxiety, masking collapse. Coaching is for designing what comes next once you are stable enough to build. Michel offers both as distinct tracks, and many clients move from one to the other.
How confidential is this, practically?
Sessions are protected by clinical confidentiality and HIPAA. The practice is private pay in California, which also means no insurance company receives a diagnosis or treatment record for those clients.
Do you work with executives outside San Diego?
Yes. Secure video sessions are available to executives anywhere in California, and by telehealth for clients in Georgia. In-person sessions are available in the Solana Beach and San Diego County area.
